I am in my final year of graduate study in Rizzo research group in Stony Brook University. My research interest is mainly in computational structure-based drug design against HIV-AIDS. The ultimate goal of my research project is to characterize the key factors that contribute to HIV fusion inhibitor binding for further drug refinement and identification. All-atom molecular dynamics simulations are being performed on various gp41-T20 complex analogs structures to study the origins of T20 affinity as well as drug resistance. In addition, I am currently working on coding a pharmacore matching similarity scoring function into the docking program DOCK to provide an alternative method to guide scoring and/or sampling in the drug design process.
